This competition was special for a number of reasons. The first was the finalist category. We knew that the other teams would go all out at this stage. If we had a chance, we had to to take a different communication strategy. We hired a photographer who lived across the street from the monastery. This allowed us to approach many specific aspects of the place from her knowledge. We shied away from pomposity and opted for calm and relaxed images.
In this project, we have tried to create a quiet architecture, capable of subordinating itself to the essence of the place. The Santa Clara convent is a very recognisable place in the heart of Pontevedra, and it must remain so.
Drama is an architectural visualisation studio. We live in the place where projects are born. Halfway between reverie and matter.
