Ayala

Arquitectos Ayala is a studio founded by Gerardo Ayala and María Concepción Calvo over forty years ago, now led by Gerardo, Mateo, and Marcos Ayala. The studio has focused on public projects and constructing unique buildings, mainly participating in competitions and winning numerous awards. With a large team of architects, the studio works with space and its expressive, emotional, and evocative capacities as the driving force behind social and technical solutions.

Gerardo Ayala has received prestigious awards, including those from the III and IV Biennial of Spanish Architecture and the PAD Award for Ibero-American Architecture. He has taught at various universities and institutions and held positions such as Dean of the College of Architects of Extremadura and Councilor of the Superior Council of Architects of Spain.

Mateo Ayala, an architect himself, joined the Ayala studio in 1995 and has been a Partner Director since 2000. He has worked on notable projects and has been invited to give lectures at several universities.

Marcos Ayala, also an architect, has collaborated with renowned architects and worked on projects such as the New Provincial Museum of León. He joined the Ayala studio in 1996 and became a Partner Director in 2002. He has also worked on international projects and lectured at the Camilo Jose Cela University in Madrid.
