This period was dedicated to his PhD research at the Architectural Museum Archive in Stockholm and the Alvar Aalto Foundation in Helsinki. The Ph.D. studies have been finalized in 2014 at the Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, ETSAM, with the Doctoral Thesis named \u201cAsplund vs. Lewerentz\u201d, which was awarded with the \u201cPremio extraordinario de la UPM\u201d.\r\n\r\nAwarded the Second Prize in the International Competition \u201cLouis Poulsen\u201d, Copenhague,1999; First Prize in the Competition \u201cThe House of the Third Millennium\u201d Cant\u00fa, (Italia), 1999; Second Prize in the Competition \u201cKarhus\u201d, Stockholm, 2000; Finalist in the Competition \u201cLeca-Mur\u201d, Link\u00f6ping, (Sweden), 2000; Fourth Prize in the Competition \u201cStockholm Bostader\u201d, Stockholm, 2000. His work \"Architectural Documentation Centre in Madrid\" was awarded: First Prize in the AR+D PRIZE from the British Architecture Association, RIBA, Finalist in the ENOR PRIZE 2005, Finalist in the COSENZA PRIZE 2005, First Prize in SALONI PRIZE 2005 and Finalist in BIENAL DE ARQUITECTURA ESPA\u00d1OLA 2005. Finalist in the GARCIA MERCADAL PRIZES 2007, 2011 and 2012 with the Urban Project \u201cZuera Sur\u201d, \"Valdefierro\u00b4s Park\" and \"Twin squares\" in Zaragoza; Second Prize in the Competition \u201cThe old town of Belchite\u201d, 2009. His work Chemical Laboratory Building in Alcala University was awarded First Prize in the ATEG-PRIZE 2010, Second Prize in the BIGMAT PRIZE 2011 and First Prize in the ENOR-MADRID AWARD 2012.
